Have you paused recently to consider how safe your neighborhood really is? We all develop a false sense of security over time but there is NO safe haven anymore.

A man who recently moved into a quiet area in southwest Houston learned that the hard way. He heard glass breaking so he retrieved his firearm and went down the stairs. He saw the burglar coming through the door and fired at him. The intruder died.

So far the home owner hasn't been charged with any crimes. This is another example of a justified shooter.

Reconsider your own family's home security. What layers have you put in to place?

You come into my home uninvited, intent on causing me or my family harm or taking something that is not yours or you did not work for, expect the worst. Period.

If this was the encouraged way for some one to handle this, and it happened a dozen or so times a week somwhere in the US, and it was accurately and fully reported by the media, the number of occurances would drop to about 10% withing a couple of months. In the long run the death rate would drop immensly, at least with with good people.
