2020 is Coming To a Close, Here’s What We Got Done
This year has been a roller coaster for so many of us not only across our great nation, but across the entire planet. And even while it seemed to drag by at a snail's pace, it was also a blur, at least it was for me and my family.
2020 wasn't all bad, though, not for us as a company anyway. In fact, we've experienced quite a bit of growth so I figured it'd be a good idea to send 2020 off on a positive note, to let all of our faithful readers know that it wasn't all bad news.
Below are some of the positives that we were able to experience as a company to let you know that some good stuff did happen this year.
Company Milestones:
As a company we hit several different internal milestones that we're super proud of. One of those things is having the ability to help our employees feed their families and even hire a few new people. We're not a big company by any stretch, but this year we were able to grow by our employee base by 44%.
For any small business that is absolutely huge.
All of our growth took place in the customer service and fulfillment areas, so any of you who have placed orders with us to purchase a holster, or a book, or a training course, or a safe, or any of the other hundreds (thousands?) of products we sell, you have dealt with those behind the scenes folks indirectly.
They are often the faceless and even nameless guys who are a necessity for keeping us afloat and without them we'd sink right to the bottom of the ocean.
We are now a company of 13 and orders are being filled faster than ever before.
Another company milestone we've reached is that because of this growth we've experienced, we had to acquire more warehouse space. In fact, we recently doubled the amount of space we had so we could put those extra hands to work.
And of course, we had to fill the space with products to fulfill. More on that in a moment.
Book Revisions:

A while back (2019 I think) we released a new book called Legal Boundaries by State. This was a big deal for us because it was our first time heading into print publishing. That's not the news, however. The news is that we promised to update the book whenever new gun laws would affect our readers, and in 2020 we updated the printed version of the book twice.
That means whenever things were updated and people purchased a book that they actually got an up-to-date version of the book, not the outdated version.
It is one of our main goals as a company to keep our readers up to date on the gun laws so we can make sure that none of you are turned into an accidental criminal. This book does just that and is updated as often as is needed.
And the book is so good that we can barely keep it in stock. As quick as we get a shipment of books in from the printer they're sold. Sometimes they're sold before they even leave the printing machine.
If you travel with your gun, you need to look into buying this book because it's that good.
New Websites (and Product) Launches:
This was utterly huge for us and, at least to me, was one of the main driving factors for our expansion as a company. This year we launched two additional ecommerce websites filled with tons of different products that we consider to be essential for our audience.

Mountain Man Medical has many different kits depending on your specific need.
The first one is Mountain Man Medical and is filled with trauma gear designed to save lives. The kicker here is that these kits were put together by a Navy Corpsman with combat experience. This means that our medical kits were designed by someone with actual trauma experience saving the lives of my beloved Marine brethren.
Kind of an add-on here is the Mountain Man Medical YouTube channel with Brian giving some stellar tips and product reviews.
Another launch that is a lot more recent is Ready Up Gear, or RUG. RUG has a lot of gear on it that you need for the range and just the tactical life. One of our most popular sellers is the Roger 22 Electronic hearing protection (muff).
Every time I look they're out of stock because, again, they're that good. Check them out here.
Podcast Stuff:
Our podcast network is continuing to grow with the recent addition of the Off Duty On Duty Podcast with Bryan Eastridge. This podcast, while still new, is getting quite a good amount of feedback.
Speaking of good stats, the original podcast of ours, The Concealed Carry Podcast, has had over 1.3 million downloads this year alone. That's YUGE!
If you've never listened to the podcast or if it has been a while, check out the podcast here.
Charity Work:

Here is a picture of a police officer being given medical kits.
Many of us live faith-based lives and believe that it's a noble thing to take care of those who need help whenever we can. This year we got involved a few different times to help people out as much as we could.
One of those times was just this month as we ran a raffle and gave away tons of products with the proceeds going to the family of premature baby Grayson. We helped raise over $22,000 for the family to help pay medical bills.
Then Mountain Man Medical (which is our sister company) got involved to get low-cost, high quality trauma gear into the hands of police in Texas, who apparently have to buy their own gear.
When you consider that cops are usually the first responders to any scene they probably go through medical gear fast.
And I don't know about you but if my arm is falling off I'd rather have the police officer offer up more than a band aid.
Looking Forward:
2020 is finally over and I know we're all looking forward to what 2021 has next. For us, I know we'll continue to do our best to grow and deliver top-quality content and gear to anyone who wants it.
What's next for you? What are you looking forward to or hoping next year brings?
And as always, stay safe for the New Year.
