SnagMag Concealed Magazine Holster by 1791 Gunleather
$28.99
The SnagMag is a patented pocket magazine holster from 1791 Gunleather. It carries a spare magazine in your support-side pocket, looks like a pocketknife clip, and hooks your pocket so the magazine draws free fast. Made in the USA and available for more than 100 pistol magazines.
Description
The SnagMag is a pocket magazine holster from 1791 Gunleather that lets you carry a spare magazine without anyone knowing it’s there. In your pocket, the only thing that shows is a clip that looks like a folding knife. When you need the magazine, the SnagMag hooks the corner of your pocket and stays put while the mag comes out in your hand.
How the SnagMag Works
The SnagMag rides vertically in your front, support-side pocket, against the outside seam with the bullets facing forward. To draw, slide your index finger into the pocket along the front of the magazine, put your thumb on the magazine, and pull up while pressing rearward with your index finger. A small hook on the SnagMag catches the back corner of the pocket, so the holster stays in your pants and the magazine comes free.
It takes a little dry practice to build the motion, but once you have it the reload is fast and repeatable. Work it into your dry fire routine the same way you’d practice a reload from a belt carrier.
Which Hand Should I Choose?
- Right-handed shooters: choose Right. The SnagMag sits in your front left pocket.
- Left-handed shooters: choose Left. The SnagMag sits in your front right pocket.
- Back pocket carry: choose the opposite shooting hand so the SnagMag faces the right way.
You can also wear the SnagMag inside the waistband.
Fit Guide
Each SnagMag is custom fit to a specific magazine, so pick the model that matches your magazine, not just your pistol. When the magazine is fully seated, the floor plate should sit below the top edge of the SnagMag. On a new SnagMag you may need to gently ease the top outward to seat the magazine the first few times.

SnagMag FAQ
Does the SnagMag work for left-handed shooters?
Yes. Choose Left under Shooting Hand and the SnagMag is built to ride in your front right pocket.
Will the SnagMag stay in my pocket when I draw the magazine?
That’s what the hook is for. It catches the back corner of your pocket as you pull the magazine up and back. Pockets vary, so practice the draw with the pants you actually carry in.
Can I carry the SnagMag somewhere other than my front pocket?
Yes. It can be worn inside the waistband or in a back pocket. For back pocket carry, order the opposite shooting hand.
Who makes the SnagMag?
The SnagMag is made in the USA by 1791 Gunleather and is covered by 1791’s limited lifetime warranty.

I love this product! I makes so much sense. I am on the shorter side and don’t have the real estate to put stuff on my belt or inside it without stuff sticking out. This goes in my pocket and draws zero attention. I will be ordering others for my other carry guns.

I’m very happy with my new SnagMag holster!
It’s very comfortable and discreet, much better than having a mag rolling around in my pocket!!
I carry a matching pocket knife on the other side, so they look identical.

Very good minimalistic mag carrier. The small protrusions that make up the “snag” would be pretty unnecessary if they had a more robust clip.Would therefore be more streamlined.
