Universal Appendix Carry Wedge

Description

The wedge is placed at the bottom (muzzle end) of the holster, next to the body.  This helps tip the rear sights back into your body.  It's most useful when appendix carrying but can be used at virtually any position.

Four different wedge sizes and shapes are available.  It comes with the velcro needed to apply it to your holster.

Choose from 2 attributes. Length and shape.

Short: The short wedges are 2.25″ inches wide and 3 inches long

Long: The long wedges are 2.25″ inches wide and 4.25 inches long

Angled: The angled wedges are cut at an angle to be wider at the bottom than the top. The dimensions are ~ 7/8″ at the thick end and 1/8″ at the thin end. These come with the hook velcro attached and the loop velcro for you to add to your holster.

Block: The block wedges are rectangular and ideal for anyone who wants to shape their own wedge. These come with the hook and loop sides of the velcro uninstalled.

The short, angled wedge has velcro attached and is designed to be used with any normal holster, this works for most people.

The short, block option is available for those who are larger and need to tip the gun into their stomach more, and the velcro is not attached. It is not cut and remains in a “block” shape. Dimensions are ~ 1″ x 2.25″ x 3″.

The long, angled option is more comfortable, in our opinion than the short option as it spreads out the pressure and eliminates the change in geometry on the body side of the holster.  It comes with the velcro attached.  It is ~ 7/8″ (tapering) x 2.25″ x 4.25″. You should expect to trim some of the corners to fit your personal preference.  After much experimenting, this is the one we recommend.

The long, block option is for those with a lot of curvature to the stomach and a need to significantly tip the rear sights into the body.  It is ~ 1″ x 2.25″ x 4.25″.  The velcro is not attached as you might want to trim it to conform to the holster before trimming the side facing the body. It is not cut and is in a “block” shape.

The closed-cell foam wedge is ambidextrous and will work on most holsters, excluding the minimalist styles that don't fully cover the slide. Attaching with the supplied velcro is simple, just clean the surface of your holster well and attach the soft side to it.  If it's too large, it's easy to trim down with a sharp knife, although I recommend you wear it for a few days to see how much it will compress before you cut it.
