Description
Update (11/2/2023): The Revere design now incorporates our unique ClipGrid system and comes standard with the DCC Monoblock clip. Other attachment options are available as upgrades.
You want a light on your pistol and want to keep others in the dark about that? The Revere will do it.
Adding a light is often bulky, even with a small light on a small pistol. This is an unavoidable fact, but utilizing a modular belt claw and optional foam wedge allows you to customize concealment to a remarkable extent.
Right hand, left hand, ambidextrous use? It’s your choice. If you want a full-height sweat guard with dedicated use for right or left hand, that’s available. Otherwise, we recommend just keeping it simple with a mid-height sweat guard. If you select ambidextrous, the sweat guard height on both sides of the slide will be matched.
The slide length will be at least as long as the light, as there’s no advantage to cutting it down and in fact, doing so can create a hot spot. So in some instances, the holster will end up being slightly longer than the slide of your chosen gun. Varies from model to model.
The mounting holes are fully Lightbearing Enigma compatible! We love seeing the popularity of the Enigma system now. The Revere holster is a perfect mate to the Enigma.
Important note: the Revere now comes standard with a DCC Monoblock clip. If you want no clips for use with an Enigma, that saves money. If you want to upgrade the Monoblock clip to two DCC Mod4U (Slotted) clips, or any of the other attachment options, there will be a modest upgrade charge.
If you’re still using a traditional belt, we’ve got you covered with your choice of either Discreet Carry Concepts clips or struts and loops. If you’re planning to carry AIWB I recommend the DCC clips as they’re lower profile and for strong side the struts and loops are superior as they allow you to fine-tune the combination of ride height and cant. Alternatively, you can also choose for (2) RCS Clips for attachment, although these aren't quite as popular as they once were.
It’s important to note that both the pistol and light models must match exactly and you cannot use the holster without the light properly attached.
A wedge, if you’re planning to wear it at the appendix position, is available as an add-on.
The belt claw, sometimes called a wing, will rotate/tuck the grip into the body. The ModWing comes standard. The tip of the claw is removable and has two options for height to provide different levels of grip rotation. If you decide you don't want a wing or claw just remove it with a Phillip’s head screwdriver. (This will require the use of shorter screws than what's provided.)
Belt Attachment Options:
DCC Monoblock: fits 1.5″ belts perfectly. It's an economical but very effective choice with its high quality spring steel, two-pronged design. That built-in redundancy means you'll never have to worry about the clip coming off your belt unless you want it to. The same cannot be said of the cheap plastic FOMI clips that many other holster companies use. The Monoblock clip is ride-height adjustable as well as for cant angle by changing it's positioning on our proprietary ClipGrid mounting block.
Soft Loops: fit 1.25″, 1.5″, or 1.75″ belts. The angle of cant is adjustable by moving one or both of the soft loops on the ClipGrid. The soft loops are great as they can only be attached and detached in a single direction making them versatile but very secure. If you would like tuckable soft loops, or you desire the max adjustability, then you can do soft loops with struts that will give you that option.
DCC Mod4U (Slotted) Clips: Choose the 1.5″ option for 1.5″ belts, and the 1.75″ option for the 1.75″ belts. These are another great tuckable option, and these happen to be our favorite overall choice just for the ride-height adjustability and absolute stability while riding on the belt.
RCS Clips: 1.5″ and 1.75″ options available. These are not as adjustable nor are they as strong as the DCC clips. But they are still popular in certain circles, so we provide these as an option to you.
This holster is optimized for the PHLster Enigma. If you plan to use it with the Enigma you can choose to not include any belt attachments at all and that will save you $5.
The History of the Revere / Lumos Holster
The Revere, previously named the Lumos, is a simple but effective light bearing oriented holster design. It is named for Paul Revere and his midnight ride. Patriots utilized the Old North Church in Boston to signal to Paul Revere the route that the British Troops would take on their advance to Concord. One lantern if by land and two lanterns if by sea. Paul Revere and other patriots rode through the country side to warn local militias of the advance of the troops and this led to the first skirmish of the war at Lexington and then Concord.
