Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Will This Damage My Gun?
A: No, it will not. The Glock E-Trainer prevents the firing pin from hitting.
Q: Will This Fit My Glock?
A: There are three versions of the E-Trainer. Type 1 fits the majority of Glock pistols. Type 2 fits many other models. Type 3 fits the Glock 42 and 43. It will NOT fit on any Glock with gill serrations.
Q: Will This Fit Anything Other Than A Glock?
A: No, currently the product is only available for Glock handguns
Q: Is This A Safety Device?
A: While the E-Trainer will prevent the gun from being fired it is not designed to function as a safety device. Firearms should be locked and secured from unauthorized persons.
Q: What Exactly Does This Do?
A: The E-Trainer for Glock prevents the connector from resetting which keeps the striker in contact with the sear so the sear never drops. All that to say that the firing pin will not be released and will not come forward. This all together allows the trigger to return to its forward position without cycling the slide.
Q: Does The Trigger Still “Break”?
A: No, with the E-Trainer installed the trigger no longer has a takeup, break, and reset. Instead it just moves freely back and forth. It isn't ideal for training trigger reset but allows that one can do dryfire training without cycling the gun. This allows you to still isolate the trigger finger in your training.
Q: Can I Pair This Tool With A Laser Training Device such as the LaserDot?
A: No, with the E-Trainer installed the firing pin does not come forward to strike the laser training device. No laser will be projected.

I just received my Glock E-trainer and I couldn’t be happier. Easy to install, very clear instructions. The peace of mind it gives me to know I won’t damage my weapons and the ease with which I can train. I really like the ability to draw, fire and reholster repeatedly without having to rack the slide. Even magazine changes are easier due to no fear of an accidental discharge. I do use snap caps for safety.

I was thinking about buying a dry fire kit form another manufacturer, but this ingenious little device accomplishes the same thing for one-third the price, and you don’t have to disassemble the gun to install it. With the Glock E-trainer in place, the striker does not release, so there is not an audible click when you press the trigger, but that is a plus for safety. The device is quick and easy to install and remove, and doesn’t get in the way of drawing, sighting, or re-holstering. It is a great product, and I would recommend it for all Glock owners.

Here is my honest review of the Glock E-Trainer.
It’s over priced. That said I’ve used it in every dry fire session since it arrived. Incredibly easy to install and remove. It provides a three pound trigger pull weight on my primary gun. That’s enough to give a somewhat realistic pull and return trigger movement. I’ve recommended it to two friends and between them they have purchased a of three of them. More than likely that I will purchase another for myself.

I have a Glock 23 and the trainer works. No click, just a smooth trigger pull. Worked on first install with no issues. A bit pricey, but it does work. Bright red rubber cover makes it obvious that the trainer is on the gun.
Dennis Showalter (verified owner) –
A Bit Pricey for what it is. It does provide a good training effect, but again, think the price is a bit to high. Other then that, no issues with it.
Bob Forsberg (verified owner) –
I was skeptical of the Glock E-Trainer but am always looking for something new to help my shooting. It does work as advertised. Very simple to insert. I noticed it does have a very slight reset feel and a very slight break feel, with no actual hard break. I found it very helpful in training my sight alignment. Over priced? It works and I am happy to add it to my Glock 19 training regimen. I am looking forward to one that will fit my Glock 43.

Originally product was backordered. and gave a 2 star review due to the issue surrounding that problem.
After seeing how the company fixed the issue I had. I would buy with confidence. For now I will use a friend’s e trainer.
Please remove my 2 star review as this is the updated one. Thank you.

Thank you for submitting a new review! I checked the shipping info and it looks like yours was delivered a few days ago. Hope you are enjoying the product!

I’m always looking to improve my training. The Glock E Trainer has made dry practice very easy. I have recommended the Glock E Trainer to many of my friends.
Dustin (verified owner) –
Works exactly as intended, and is very easy to install. One problem that is no fault of the product is that I can’t holster my firearm with it installed as I have a high sweat guard. Customers may want to keep this in mind if they’re ordering it to practice with their draw.

I ABSOLUTELY enjoy the Glock E-trainer! It works perfectly! Iespecially like the fact that while it is installed there is NO possible way of accidentally firing a live round! It gives me total peace of mind. But I still don’t aim at live targets, because I don’t want to create a bad habit, which may cause a fatal accident when the trainer is NOT in use! This trainer is Very useful if used with care and common sense.
Francis Hidalgo (verified owner) –
It does what I want it to do with half the price of other’s dryfiring tools!! Awsome!! Helps with trigger control without having to pull the slide back every time, which allows more time concentrating on target!! Helps with teaching my younger ones!! Love this Glock E-trainer!!
TERRY LEWIS (verified owner) –
I recently received my Glock E-Trainer and am very pleased. It works as advertised, and makes dry-fire practice more realistic. It was a bit difficult to install on my Polymer80 upper because the slide serrations are different ,but works great.
virginia.gorg (verified owner) –
This is the coolest little invention! It allows me to practice fire all I want, at home, and create “realistic” scenarios for myself. Very easy to install and remove. This will definitely help me build up my confidence in defensive shooting.
I highly recommend this product.

Does this allow for use of a laser trainer insert?
Jacob Paulsen –
No. The product prevents the firing pin from coming forward which would prevent it from striking a laser trainer insert.
Alice (verified owner) –
A very good product. I have recommended it already. However, it is a little too pricey. Wish the price was lower. I firmly believe and teach “dry fire” as a vital training technique for anyone who wants consistent accuracy when shooting. This is a very good product for that. I use it in my Glock 17, easily remove the devise, then off to the range I go. In fact, I just did that.
wa6qwj (verified owner) –
I bought the Type 3 trainer for a Glock 43 and 20, which are double stack capable weapons. the “E-trainer” appears to be for a single stack weapon, as it is too narrow to fit the intended slides.
Jacob Paulsen –
The Type 3 is designed specifically and only for the Glock 43. If yours does not fit the Glock 43 it is out of spec or there is some other issue. Either way please contact us so we can take care of it!

I’ve been shooting Glock for over 10 years. I have done “Dry Practice” by having to recock the weapon after every shot. Being able to practice with full availability of trigger time is great.
Kudos
djandyaz (verified owner) –
Valuable tool. Can’t beat this for getting to “know” your weapon. Helps with trigger control tremendously. Yes it’s a little pricey, but to be able to safely train in the comfort of your living room could save your life, or those of your loved ones.
Mark Coulton (verified owner) –
Excellent product. I have been practicing my “dry fires” with my Glock 23 since I received it. Outstanding device to develop muscle memory techniques. I highly recommend this product.
Alan N –
This simple piece does the trick for my dry fire needs. It allows you to pull the trigger without re-racking the slide each time. You don’t get a positive-action click of the trigger, but the weight is the same and it does the job just fine. And it couldn’t be simpler to install and remove, as needed. Thanks!
Jose Delgado (verified owner) –
Works as advertised, easy on and easy to remove. Excellent training tool for dry fire practice, no longer have to rack the slide back for each shot.
Devereaux (verified owner) –
Meh. The problem with Glocks and other such weapons is that when you pull the trigger you trip the hammer or striker. The trigger is then slack. This item blocks the striker from firing. However the resultant trigger pull seems little better than just pulling the trigger after tripping the striker – and you still have $25in your pocket. You furthermore do not get the feel of the trigger tripping the striker, that “break” that signifies a shot is off. I’m not sure there is anything that would work better, or if it did that it would be hugely expensive.
Stan Lorang (verified owner) –
I find the tool useful to practice a smooth straight pull from start to finish. But still need to practice staying smooth taking up initial slack, through the trigger break (which is no longer there), then backing off only far enough to reset trigger for following shot. It preformed as advertised, but its not realistic.
Arnie (verified owner) –
Excellent product I started to spend more time drive firing and I’m seeing amaizing results in juat a few dates it’s all about the trigger. I was using a little peace of carboard on the openning of the slice but, it’s not the same.
Thank You.
Drdave (verified owner) –
To all you losers that think this very inexpensive training tool is too much money, go find another way you can keep pulling a GLOCK trigger (or any other semi) without resetting the slide. You are too dirt cheap. Go buy your unreliable Hi-Point and Tula ammo and have fun with all your malfunctions and risk your life and your loved ones on that combo.
Patrick McClellan (verified owner) –
Fast shipping, product exactly as described, easy to install on Gen4 G22 and I’m loving it.
Gregory Tammany (verified owner) –
Very Clever. Great for trigger practice.
Brett gruenwald (verified owner) –
This is my first hand gun I have bought. With the e-trainer and lots of practice .l feel it will give me the confidence I need to carry and be safe.
James Weber (verified owner) –
Excellent tool to pair with my laser target. The fact that it eliminates having to rack the slide after each pull of the trigger greatly enhances practice time.
Bryan Sams (verified owner) –
The product description is lacking key information at best, deceptive advertising some would say. When I “press the trigger” on my Glock, the striker is activated. This device disables the striker. This changes the feel of the trigger, there is no break and makes it useless when trying to pair with a laser training system. I should not have to read comments to figure out what your product is about.
What is this guy talking about???

Jacob Paulsen –
Bryan, I’m sorry to hear about your experience with the product. The product description does make it clear the trigger will have no break. “No takeup, break and reset.” I will add something to the product description about it not working with lasers, we take it for granted that someone would intuitively understand that from our product description. I too am not sure what the previous reviewer meant by his comment. Remember this product has a 100% no questions asked refund guarantee if you want to return it.

The concept and cost of this particular item is outstanding. The ease in applying the device is exceptional. That is were the good unfortunately ends. As a firearms instructor I was excited to try this item for a more cost effective and ease of applying a device rather than either getting a SIRT pistol or a specialized trigger assembly that I would have to change out of my pistol to have dry fire without having to rack the slide. The goal of dry fire is to be able to feel the break point and also to be able to practice trigger reset. This product accomplishes neither.
The trigger is mushy and does not even go all the way back to the break point. Which means it will also not reset. My recommendation is to get a SIRT Pistol, which they do carry here. Put the money you would pay for this towards something like that. I will say that if you go that route, purchasing a SIRT here would save you $20-$25 as apposed to getting it directly from the manufacturer.
So I give this a 2 out of 10 for the affordability and ease of applying the device.
Bob Bakersfield –
Great tool but the same thing can be accomplished by pulling the slide back a bit and slipping in a piece of folded paper between the barrel slide.
Some trail and error is needed to find the “sweet” spot so if your not into that this is perfect for you.
Jacob Paulsen –
Bob, another consideration I think that is important is the ability to operate the slide. Inserting a piece of paper will work until you practice a reload or clearing a malfunction. Your paper will then fall out where the Glock E-Trainer will not.
DOUGLAS HARRINGTON (verified owner) –
It works as advertised. Easy to install and uninstall. Perfect for dry fire practice. Just do it.

Ingenious. High quality construction. Infinitely useful. I have two of the same gun that I rotate with this device and it works exactly as advertised. Highly recommend.
