Carry In State and National Parks

Federal law says that restrictions related to firearms in National parks will match or be the same as those applied to State parks in the state where the national park is located.

Summary for State Parks

Alabama:   Concealed handgun carry by recognized permittees is permitted
Alaska:   Any non-felon may carry a firearm for self-defense
Arizona:   Concealed Handgun carry by recognized permittees allowed
Arkansas:   Recognized permitees may carry in open areas but not in any govt buildings.
California:   Firearms must be cased, unloaded and kept withing a vehicle or campsite.
Colorado:   No prohibitions
Connecticut:   Firearms prohibited
Delaware:   Prohibited
District of Columbia:   There are no state parks in DC
Florida:   Concealed carry by permittees is permitted.
Georgia:   Permitted by those with recognized permits
Hawaii:   Firearms must remain cased, unloaded and stowed in a vehicle.
Idaho:   Concealed Handgun carry by recognized permittee allowed
Illinois:   Permittees may carry in most outdoor areas
Indiana:   Permitted by those with honored permits.
Iowa:   Permitted for those with honored and valid permits.
Kansas:   Lawful for citizens 21 yrs or older
Kentucky:   Concealed carry by recognized permittees is permitted.
Louisiana:   Concealed Carry by those with recognized permits is lawful
Maine:   Concealed Carry with recognized permit is lawful
Maryland:   Prohibited
Massachusetts:   Concealed Carry Handgun lawful by Massachusetts permittees
Michigan:   Concealed handgun carry by recognized permittees is lawful
Minnesota:   Concealed handgun carry by recognized permitees allowed
Mississippi:   Concealed Carry handguns lawful by those with permits or exercising constitutional carry rights
Missouri:   Concealed carry handguns lawful by those with recognized permits.
Montana:   Recognized permittees may carry concealed handguns
Nebraska:   Recognized permittees may carry concealed handguns
Nevada:   Concealed handgun carry lawful by recognized permittees
New Hampshire:   Concealed handgun carry by recognized permittees and those exercising constitutional carry permitted
New Jersey:   Firearms possession or use is prohibited
New Mexico:   Concealed handgun carry by recognized permittees is lawful
New York:   Prohibited
North Carolina:   Concealed handgun carry be recognized permittees is lawful
North Dakota:   Concealed handgun carry by those with recognized permits is lawful
Ohio:   Concealed handgun carry by recognized permittees in outdoor areas is allowed
Oklahoma:   Recognized permittees may carry in open areas.
Oregon:   Oregon permittees may carry concealed handguns in parks.
Pennsylvania:   Concealed handgun carry be recognized permittees is legal
Rhode Island:   Carry in prohibited. Firearms must be unloaded and cased in vehicle.
South Carolina:   Concealed Carry by recognized licenses permitted
South Dakota:   Concealed handgun carry lawful by recognized permittees
