There are legal consequences if one fails to secure their firearm and that leads to a minor gaining unauthorized access.

Magazines with the capacity of MORE than 10 rounds are illegal to buy, sell, import, manufacture, or distribute after July 1st, 2022.

- Licensed child care center premises, center-provided transportation, and facilities while being used exclusively by a child care center. Excepted: family day care provider homes, a licensee picking up or dropping off a child, and anyone 18 or older whose firearm is secured in an attended vehicle or concealed in a locked unattended vehicle while conducting legitimate business there
- Public and private elementary and secondary school premises, school-provided transportation, facilities being used exclusively by schools, and facilities being used for official school board meetings. A misdemeanor first, gross misdemeanor after, plus a three-year CPL revocation. Excepted: a licensee picking up or dropping off a student or attending a school board meeting held off district property; and a nonstudent 18 or older with a firearm secured in an attended vehicle or concealed in a locked unattended vehicle. Firearms are not permitted in a public or private school building regardless. "Gun-Free Zone" signs must be posted
- Restricted access areas of jails, law enforcement facilities, and any place of confinement. Common areas of ingress and egress open to the public are excluded
- Areas of any building used in connection with court proceedings — courtrooms, jury rooms, judges' chambers, offices and areas used to conduct court business, waiting areas, and adjacent corridors. The local authority must provide a locked box or a designated official for weapon storage, and must mark restricted areas and post notice at each entrance
- Restricted access areas of public inpatient mental health facilities and state institutions for the mentally ill
- The portion of an establishment classified by the Liquor and Cannabis Board as off-limits to persons under 21
- Restricted access areas of commercial service airports, including passenger screening checkpoints and beyond. Airport drives, general parking, walkways, shops, and unscreened terminal areas are excluded, and restricted areas must be prominently signed
- Libraries, zoos and aquariums, and transit stations and facilities — but these three do not apply to a concealed pistol licensee, which effectively makes them an open-carry ban
- Open carry at any permitted demonstration, and within 250 feet of one after an officer directs you to leave. Doesn't apply to lawful concealed carry by a CPL holder
- Open carry on the west state capitol campus grounds, capitol buildings, legislative offices, and legislative hearings; and at city, county, or municipal buildings used for governing body meetings and at those meetings. Again, lawful concealed carry by a CPL holder is excepted
- Ballot counting centers — for everyone, concealed or open. Voting centers, student engagement hubs, and county elections offices bar weapons except concealed carry by a CPL holder
- Outdoor music festivals — 2,000+ expected attendance, five hours or longer
- State correctional institution buildings and adjacent grounds when properly posted. A licensee may proceed directly to the administration building, check the firearm, reclaim it on leaving, and depart immediately
- Snowmobiles, where carrying any loaded weapon is prohibited
- The Washington State School for the Blind and School for the Deaf, even for licensees
- Office of Administrative Hearings facilities and hearing rooms. A concealed weapons permit is not a defense
- By administrative rule: colleges and universities, racing association grounds, emergency respite centers, licensed pregnant and parenting teen residential programs, licensed homes and facilities providing care to children, overnight youth shelters, and Juvenile Rehabilitation Administration residences
- Stadiums and convention centers operated by a municipality that has restricted them — though this can't reach a licensee's pistol
- State parks located on Army Corps of Engineers land, per federal law
