Fatal shooting of homeowner Richard Black in Aurora :
There was NO mention made of arriving police having announced their presence. If that is so, Mr. Black had no opportunity to stand down and identify himself. Even the original intruder (shot by Mr. Black) should have been given by the police the opportunity to surrender (unless he fired a gun – which he apparently didn’t have – at the cops).
I believe we do a disservice to the pro gun side by portraying our opponents as ignorant because they use terms like “Fully Semi-Automatic”. They know the correct terms and meanings. They choose their words carefully. They are crafted to evoke fear in non-gun people and to make us over confident, through our perception of their ignorance. We need to stop playing into their hands. Let’s get into full court education of the masses.
The Christian community can put out high quality, enjoyable movies with a great message…. Why aren’t we doing the same thing???
