Really enjoyed this podcast as it gave me actual perspective on how the justice system works and pointed out alternative methods before going to use of a gun.
Really enjoyed the presentation. I have a question. It was mentioned that cerakote can be considered as a modification to a firearm that may be used against you. I purchased a 9mm handgun with a cerakote slide. I didn’t modify the handgun. Cerakote is a protective coating that can protect the metal surface from corrosion, etc. How can cerakote modification be used against a law abiding gun owner? Please advise thank you.
Ron, when Cerakote is applied only as a protective coating I can’t imagine that would have the potential to be very damaging. The reference in this episode was more related to those who apply Cerakote in a cosmetic manner to paint some sort of design on the gun. For example a big Skull and crossbones across the slide might speak to the gun owners frame of mind in a negative way.
