Today Riley and Matthew interview the founder of Black Guns Matter, Maj Toure. He's the man that's on a mission to educate people about guns, violence and gun safety. His messaging and training is focused on the urban population hubs where crime is often its highest, communities that often have a dearth of gun range and training opportunities. Much of his fundraising is to support his ability to offer these courses at no cost to their participants. Maj also details why he will not be renewing his NRA membership this year after many years of supporting the organization. Leave us your thoughts about this engaging interview!

Riley Bowman is the Director of Training at ConcealedCarry.com and the Host of the Concealed Carry Podcast. He came up in this world initially through his 8-year experience with a state-level law enforcement agency in Colorado. Riley has trained extensively under instructors such as: Rob Leatham, Mike Seeklander, Tim Herron, Scott Jedlinski, Matt Little, Kyle Lamb, Dave Spaulding, Jeff Gonzales, Bill Blowers, Chuck Pressburg, and others, amassing many hundreds of hours of formal shooting and tactics training. He is an NRA Pistol Instructor, a Colorado P.O.S.T. Handgun and Patrol Rifle Instructor, a graduate of Trident Concepts Concealed Carry Instructor course, and a Modern Samurai Project Endorsed Instructor. He also competes in USPSA and 3-gun competitions including numerous top-10 finishes at major matches and championships. He is the current USPSA Carry Optics Colorado State Champion and most recently won 3rd place in Master Class at the 2022 USPSA Carry Optics National Championship.

    Just listened to this pod cast and plan on listening to it again on my ride home. He hits on a lot of very good points and speaks the truth about what needs to happen for all of us to keep our gun rights. I live in a very small town in extremely up state New York and we are effected by NYC views every day even though we are almost 6 hours drive away. If the city guys could come together with us upstate guys we could all enjoy our god given freedoms together. Even if we don’t see eye to eye on all things we can agree we don’t need more laws telling us what we can and can’t do. Thank you guys for doing this interview it has definitely changed my perspective on views I thought I was in stone on.

    Maj Toure is not correct on the South African situation… he should go do some research.. one of the things he mentioned is the white only town. That “town” is a privately owned piece of land where you can live if you want to express Afrikaans culture.. If you are black and you want to express the same culture you are welcome! (Fact is still its a privately owned piece of land not part of the government, its not a public place.) You are allowed to do what you want on your own property and that’s what they are doing.
