Shoot Like the Cops Do: Honor Defense’s New Honor Guard Pistols

Have you ever wanted to be a little more like our fine boys in blue? Were you the cop when you were playing cops and robbers on the playground as a little kid? Well if you were, Honor Defense just announced a brand new line of their Honor Guard Versions that are designed specifically for police officers that are not on-duty.

These new designs, the HG9CLE and the HG9CLEMS are going to be available to the general population according to Honor Defense, and while we're not seeing a specific release date as of yet, it appears that they are trying to start shipping these before the NRA Show. Really exciting stuff!

Below is the post from Honor Defense announcing these brand new pistols. Take a look!

Responding to requests from law enforcement, Honor Defense is proud to announce two new Honor Guard versions specifically designed for backup and off-duty use by police personnel. Both pistols will also be available for commercial use.
The new HG9CLE and the HG9CLEMS (manual safety) pistols feature 3.8-inch barrels on a stainless-steel modular chassis. Like the other commercial models, the pistol is assembled with 100% USA parts and materials. The stainless-steel slide and barrel both feature a ferritic nitro-carburized finish and designed to handle +P ammunition.
Both the HG9CLE and the HG9CLEMS come with two eight round magazines – and two backstraps to fit a variety of hand sizes. While other brands use plastic striker housings, Honor Defense utilizes stainless-steel striker housing with an integrated striker block for safety. Both pistols are completely ambidextrous for easy manipulation by both left- or right-hand Officers, or one-handed operation if necessary.
“Honor Defense pistols have been developed for professional use and both models will also be available to civilians. We will begin to ship these models prior to the 2017 NRA Show,” said Gary Ramey, President of Honor Defense. “We are proud that several police departments have recently approved the Honor Defense pistols for use by Officers as backup and off-duty handguns.”

And if you're wondering about the specs of the new pistols, we've got you covered. Concealed Carry Inc. has gotten our hands on those, too.

    Ok Honor Defense.

You have two new firearms and they are both ambidextrous. I see your marketing for the city finest. Are these firearms made just for them to carry off duty.

Can the public purchase as well?. I got to tell you i have a honor guard and i love it. I swap out my edc offten. I own different firearms Glock, S&W, and so on. I love how the Honor Defense fit’s in my hand and i find myself going to it more and more for EDC. This new firearm your putting out i would love to have as well. So I’m excited and i can’t wait to the coming out date.

Hey also may i ask?? Is Honor Defense planning on making a 40 and 45 caliber firearm any time soon? 9mm is a fine round dont get me wrong. I would just love to see a Honor Guard in a 40 or 45.

Thank You for your time. Anthony Saylor St. Joseph Missouri.
