The good is that you act with legitimate adrenaline (if you are a competitive person). the software is set to a random start time so you don't know when it will call go. You certainly get a sense for how good you are at acting quickly and what that does to your accuracy and ability to draw and act. On the bad side speed drills often cause you to get sloppy. Trigger control and accuracy may start to suffer if you loose track of the fundamentals when driving for pure speed.
