I absolutely LOVE this episode. It gives me a great appreciation for the intricacies of reciprocity and gun laws varying by state. Top-notch as always guys!
Great podcast just have one comment. You said you didn’t like a fed. reciprocity law because you like the states having control. While I totally agree the feds need to stay out of the individual states way this is a constitutional right not a state right. The states need to take back control of their schools since that is how it was set up, but the 2nd amend. shouldn’t be left to states to infringe on.
I wholeheartedly agree.
Federal level issues, to include our innumerated rights as defined by The Bill of Rights, should be guarded by our federal level officers -Congresspersons, POTUS, ET al., and constitutional carry should prevail. Only the US Congress should be permitted to make amendments, to include abortion, after all, what happened to the “life” part of Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness part, which is Our single greatest abomination as a people.
Tangentially, election laws for POTUS should also be held at the federal level, to include who may vote, what shall be required to vote, how the Electoral College is to be administered, and what, if any, prohibitions there may be to vote -to include During incarceration after conviction of a felony.
Good podcast. In the future discussions would you address the complexities for someone carrying state to state under the “Law Enforcement Officer’s Safety Act (LEOSA)”, H.R. 218? I am a retired police officer from Montgomery County, Maryland. I qualify annually there, take their class, and I’m issued a card certifying that I qualified under LEOSA. But, there are some squirrelly places that place some restrictions on retired officers carrying concealed. I used to have a Maryland CCW permit but I let it expire. They are very difficult to get and Maryland honors no other state permits, period. But, since I have a LEOSA card I’m good there. I moved out of Maryland some time ago but return to qualify. My old agency is good in offering this service to us retired guys. This might be a good topic for the future.

C/C permits/laws ONLY, pertain to those of us LEGAL citizens. How many criminals have the 3 day wait for a background investigation to purchase, NONE. Just how many criminals have a C/C permit?? RECIPROCITY concerns with criminals, Ha,Ha,Ha!!
