We are out at SHOT Show 2018. We are having a blast, getting to handle new guns, talk to exciting folks, and get on camera with some people we don't usually meet. One of those folks is someone you may have heard of, the team captain of Glock–Shane Coley. He went on camera with our Annette Evans, and told us why he's excited about the 19X. We'll get to that in just a minute, but first, I thought I'd share with you what I thought about this new for 2018 pistol.
I had the chance to shoot it at the range, and I have to say that I was pretty impressed. It was accurate and had all the appealing aspects of a Glock pistol. But, this is a different platform than most of the other Glocks ever released, in that it has a short G19-sized slide, with a full-size frame and grip. What this means for someone like me with bear paws for hands, is that I can grip it much better than I could, say, a regular G19.
This pistol comes colored in Coyote tan with night sights, their upgraded GMB (Glock Marksman Barrel), no finger grooves, and after having the chance to shoot it at the range, I can say that it performed great. Here is the video we filmed of the Glock 19X:
For some people, that's just going to make sense.
Being that my hands are so large, I can appreciate having a full-size grip where my entire hand fits. But, it won't make sense for everybody. What's your take on the G19X? Let us know in the comments, below.
