I use a Galco D169L leather soft holster and have used it for years. I have used it for my Springfield V10 as well as my Sig 365 and Colt Mustang.
My reasoning is for comfort since I carry all the time it clips to my belt and carrying IWB is extremely comfortable even when driving.
