SHOT 2023 is Almost Here – Will We See You There?
As in years past, our company will be at the Shooting, Hunting and Outdoors Trade Show, better known as SHOT Show. This trade show which takes place every year in Las Vegas, is the biggest in our industry and lasts 4 days. Add a fifth day for those like us who attend industry day at the range. Unfortunately, SHOT Show is open to tradesmen and media only, and closed to the public.
The Largest Trade Show in the Industry: SHOT —
Here are some figures taken from the event website for context on how large SHOT Show is:
- The 2020 show, exhibitors, buyers, media and other industry professionals hailed from all 50 states and more than 115 countries.
- The 2022 SHOT Show had more than 2,400 exhibitors on the exhibit floor.
- SHOT is the largest event held at The Venetian Expo
- Total exhibit space for the 2022 show in these two venues is more than 800,000 net square feet—equivalent to more than 18 acres or enough space to park 547 F-16 fighter jets.
- The SHOT Show boasts 13.9 miles of aisles—a distance more than half a marathon
- More than 55,000 professionals in the shooting, hunting, outdoors and law enforcement industry attended SHOT Show in 2020
Visit us at Booth #41010—
In years past, our goal was to search for new products and then bring those to you by posting content. While we may do some of that again, our course is different this year. For the first year, we will have a booth at SHOT Show.
If you happen to come by our booth, you'll see us representing some recognizable brands:
For those of you who are going to be attending SHOT Show this year, I hope you come to booth #41010. The entire Concealed Carry team won't be in Vegas this year. However, if you're in Vegas on January 1-20 and want to hang out with Jacob, Riley, Corey, J.P., Mitch or me, let us know we'd love to meet you.
Are there new products being released at SHOT Show 2023 that you're interested in finding out more about? Let us know and we can report back to you.
How can we get tickets?
Here is the page where you can see the prerequisites and apply. https://shotshow.org/
I would like it if you stop posting this. Unless you allow the public to attend.
You’re joking right?
Agree with that. All it is is rubbing it our faces. Not fair , not professional
I agree with Mr. Hughes. Why won’t the SHOT show allow the general public to attend? Does it have to do with ‘secret squirrel’ stuff? After all, the public can and should be considered ‘buyers’.
SHOT like most trade shows is for dealers to show their products to sellers. They allow media to cover new releases and things like that. Trade shows don’t typically allow companies to sell product at the show. We certainly don’t make the rules, nor would we have any influence on changing them.
I never stated you made the rules. I only wondered why an industry group would deny the public an opportunity to see new products and services. Especially since a significant percentage of said products can now be sold over the internet.
I appreciate your follow up, but I took that you said, you agree with Mr. Hughes at face value. He said we shouldn’t post about SHOT Show unless WE allow the public to attend. That’s why I addressed that as part of my response to your initial question.
As a practical matter, it seems silly to broadcast about any upcoming SHOT show to a general audience, rather than to ‘professionals’ (whatever that means). Methinks you would be better off commenting until AFTER the show to the mere peon ‘non-professionals’.
I think we have different opinions on what is silly.
And you have the right to your (incorrect) opinion.
Why don’t they have a massive gun show at the same time in the same block of the show.
