Very helpful discussion of how amateurs need to carefully analyze potential situations and clarify our main objective as stopping the threat. The people who ran after attackers were partly influenced by adrenaline inflaming their desires for ‘justice’- my husband did that in a paint ball game with younger guys when he discovered with his first hits that it hurt more than he expected, and I did the same after being attacked by a troubled teen. Both responses were irrational. Maybe before carrying guns we should do some paint ball with people better than us to see if we can learn to keep calmer at surprises or under attack.
This is one of the most important discussions we can have, not that “Grey Man” isn’t, but we (I) am more concerned with getting these things thought out.
