I felt the slide was easier to cycle than many other handguns. Caliber is 5.7mm. Barrel is 4.64 inches.
The top loading magazine of the KelTec PR57 pistol is not innovative, it is a copy of the loading system of the Mauser C96 made in Germany 1896-1937. Compared to the now standard magazine style used in all modern semi-automatic pistols today it is slower to reload.
This pistol doesn’t appear to have a manual safety. Is that correct? One reason I’m not a fan of today’s striker fire polymer pistols is the lack of such safety.
