Holosun’s New K Series Red Dot At SHOT Show 2020 (Video)

While out at SHOT Show 2020, we ran into some pretty exciting new products in the concealed carry market. One of those new products is the micro red dot from Holosun.

This new “K” series red dot is meant to fit on your micro compact pistols with a slide cut like the SIG P365XL and a few others. This red dot mounts up directly on the 365XL, but some modifications are required for other guns, like the Springfield Armory Hellcat.

The 507K is a multi-reticle version, while the 407K is just a dot. The housing is aluminum for added strength and these optics are completely waterproof, per the rep.

Something else that’s pretty sweet is that, while SIG removed the possibility of keeping the rear sight, Holosun incorporated it into the back of the dot’s housing, so if you’re in a SHTF scenario and something happens to your dot you’ve still got your co-witnessed sights you can rely on.

Perhaps the most impressive aspect about this entire thing is the affordable price point on these two red dot optics. The 407K is 230 at the store, while the 507K is 290 at your store.

According to the rep you get at least 20,000 hours on the battery, which is a long time.

  1. I’d like to know who cut the slide. I got my slide cut but the built in irons on the 507k do not line up on the P365. The whole idea was not to have to use suppressor height sights. I can’t find anyone that will cut the P365 to the same depth as the P365XL.
