Build Your Own Custom 1911 Grips With AlumaGrips

Every gun owner has a 1911, because … well, because John Moses Browning of course. One of the easiest ways to customize your 1911 is with a quick grip upgrade that can change the way your gun feels in your hand, as well as enhance the look of the gun itself.

Now there are endless options on the market for custom 1911 grips. You can get about any pattern in any color you want. But recently, I was referred to Alumagrips.com to check out their new “Build Your Own Grip” tool. I was excited about the idea, which to me is similar to building out your own computer with all the specs you want.

Here is a video of my experience (I've removed all the boring pauses where I stared at the screen making my decisions)

Customization Options Include:

  • Grip Color
  • Checkering Pattern
  • Checkering Depth
  • Engraving (Machine / Laser / None)
  • Grip Thickness
  • Grip Weight
  • Safety Options
  • Magwell Options

I really appreciate that throughout the design process you can see what the Grip is going to cost AND you have a live preview on the right side of the screen that shows the customizations you are applying. It's a very intuitive tool and is easy to use.

My grips took about 2 weeks to arrive. The quality seems very high and I for sure got what I ordered.

Putting new grips on your 1911 is about as easy as it gets:

I'm very satisfied with the quality and ease of designing. They sent me exactly what I ordered and they fit my 1911 great (and look cool with our logo). They also feel good in my hand and appear very strong and durable.

If you want to do something super unique for your 1911 I would encourage you to check out Alumagrips to get you the look and function you're after.

Hey Jimmy, I edited your comment to remove your phone number as it’s against our terms to publish this sort of info. I’d suggest you visit the company’s website: https://www.alumagrips.com/ and see if you can get a set of grips to fit your needs. We run a different company.

      Hope this helps,

      Josh
