All About Gun Cleaning: SHOP Talk with Riley Bowman

Our SHOP Talk series has gotten a ton of great feedback from everyone who watches these live shows. So, we've decided to make it a regular thing. This time around, it's all about cleaning our concealed carry guns.

Personally speaking, one thing that doesn't take place enough in my own gun collection, is me cleaning them. Ain't nobody got time for that. Now, I do lube them properly because to me, that's the most important step.

When you've got the right tools to clean your guns, it makes it much easier to do, not to mention faster.

In this episode of SHOP Talk with Riley Bowman, he breaks down his Glock 19 and, not only does he show you how he cleans his gun, he also shows you what he uses to clean it.

He says from start to finish it usually only takes him about 10 minutes to clean one of his pistols using the stuff he does, which is a great benefit for the busy concealed carrier, like myself.

Anyway …

This episode is perfect for anyone who either doesn't know how to clean their guns, or are curious to see how Riley, who is a borderline pro shooter does it. He goes into depth on the ins and outs on cleaning and lubrication in the episode you can see, here:

Personally speaking, I hate cleaning my guns and only do it when absolutely necessary or if I'm testing a new type of ammo where I have to see how dirty that ammunition is.

Otherwise, I only clean my guns when I have to. Here is a short list of several of the products that were mentioned in that video:

Pig Lube Products

Rand CLP Products

Real Avid

Handgunner Range Bag

Also, we have a discount coupon live right now for the next few days, only, where you can save 20% off any Pig Lube or Rand Product. The coupon is CLEAN20 and will be removed from the website on February 24th at midnight MST.

Once that coupon code expires, it's gone. So don't delay. You're always going to need gun lube, why not stock up while it's discounted?

By the way, like I said, I do hate to clean my guns. However, one of these lives in my range bag and I don't leave home without it. I have been known to troubleshoot gun issues by giving them a good cleaning, first, just because that's the easiest thing to start with.

It has everything I need in it, and the applicator on the Pig Lube it comes with is one of those things that makes you say: “why didn't I think of that?”
