Maine and Pennsylvania Cease Permit Reciprocity
We have been informed that Maine and Pennsylvania will no longer honor each other’s concealed carry permits. You may recall that recently Maine had two new laws go into effect that instituted constitutional carry in the state and extended reciprocity to any out of state permit whose state also honored Maine’s permit.
Concealed Carry Holder Saves Woman and Children From Violent Car Jacker
The driver, despite being assaulted refused to give up control of the car while she shouted “My kids are in the car, my kids are in the car.” Witnesses said the suspect wrestled with the woman at one point dragging her from the car to the ground but she got back in the car fighting for control.
Pennsylvania Now Honors Ohio CCW Permits
Pennsylvania has recently added Ohio as a state whose permit will be honored in Pennsylvania. As we previously announced, Ohio’s law recently changed to honor permits from all other states and in doing so it would seem that they now meet the requirements in Pennsylvania 6106(b)(15) of the Uniform Firearms Act that grants reciprocity to certain state permits without a formal reciprocity agreement.
