Sometimes, throughout the course of history, the people reach a breaking point and say that enough is enough. Sometimes the government sees the writing on the walls and pushes through legislation to help our colleges defend themselves. Luckily, it seems that not only Ohio but several other state legislations have begun to implement this.

Effective January 1st 2017 Minnesota will no longer honor Concealed Carry Permits from Arkansas, Ohio, Oklahoma, and Tennessee. In addition, Minnesota will no longer honor the basic permits from North Dakota or South Dakota but will continue to honor the class 1 license from both North and South Dakota.

Tragedies like these are unfortunately common in the world that we live in. We need to be prepared for them, so that the chaos does not erupt into something even greater than the events that did occur at Ohio State University.
