Description

Reliable Hearing Protection Without the Premium Price Tag

If you’ve spent any time on the range, you already know—good hearing protection isn’t optional. But it also shouldn’t cost a fortune.

The Roger 22 Electronic Ear Muffs deliver the features you actually need—clear sound amplification, dependable noise reduction, and all-day comfort—without overpaying for a logo.

Built specifically for shooters, these muffs provide a 22dB NRR to protect your hearing from gunfire while still allowing you to clearly hear range commands, conversations, and your environment.

Hear What Matters. Block What Doesn’t.

With dual high-gain omnidirectional microphones and fast 0.01-second sound compression, loud impulse noises are instantly suppressed while quieter sounds are amplified. That means better awareness, safer training, and no missed instructions.

Designed for the Range

Low-profile ear cups keep things streamlined so your muffs don’t interfere with your cheek weld—especially when running rifles or shotguns. Whether you’re zeroing, training, or running drills, these stay out of your way.

Built for Comfort

Long range days demand gear you can wear for hours. The Roger 22 delivers with:

  • Padded headband
  • Soft ear cushions
  • Adjustable fit for all-day wear

Customize Your Setup

Want to upgrade your comfort even further? These muffs are compatible with aftermarket gel ear pads designed for Howard Leight models, giving you an easy path to customization.

Stay Connected

The 3.5mm auxiliary input lets you plug in a shot timer, phone, or other audio source—so you stay protected while still hearing exactly what you need.

Compact and Ready to Go

When you're done, the muffs fold down into a compact package that’s easy to toss in your range bag.

I am a firearms instructor in South Carolina. As you can imagine, I practically have sets of ear muffs coming out of my ears. I have every known brand under the sun and I have spent every amount imaginable. You know the saying, “…a drawer full of holsters”? I have bins full of ear protection. All that said, I gotta tell you, these are, by far, my favorite. I first ordered just one pair and ordered a second pair right after. They don’t kill the sides of my head where my glasses rest on my ears. The pads are nice and soft. I also like the electronics in these. I can’t quite explain it, but there is this quality feel I get from the electronics. The volume knob design is great in that it is recessed but also easy to find when you have them on. When it comes to muffs, I will never buy any other brand now that I have access to these. I am writing this the day before the pre-Black Friday sale exclusively for GN members. It pays to be a GN member! I’ll be ordering 2 or 3 more pairs tomorrow!

Prompt shipping, great fit over glasses, good amplification, GREAT DAMPING.

  3. Mike Woodhead (verified owner)

These arrived as scheduled, and in good condition. These Ear Muffs fit well and the volumn control is well placed and easy to use. No problem with wearing them with glasses. Looking to giviing them a workout at an indoor range soon.

  4. Andrea (verified owner)

Very nice, super comfortable and most important works great! This is one of the rare products with an amazing value and quality, better than so many others expensive ear muffs. With volume up, I can ear somebody turning a paper page and the shooting noises are well under control.

  5. Jason Blair (verified owner)

Hard to beat for the price. Solid product with good ear protection (passive and active). Good volume to hear each other on the range. Bought a couple weeks ago and have used 3 times now. Pleased with the purchase.

  6. websan (verified owner)

These are great sound supressing ear protectors. They are comfortable and allow for conversation and instantly suppress gunshot noise at the range. I will recommend these to my friends who have older ear protectors.

  7. John (verified owner)

I did not find much, if any, difference between the old Rossi protection (no batteries required) I have and the Roger22 far as noise reduction and the possibility of better noise protection is what prompted me to purchase these. The Roger22 is more comfortable but I don’t shoot for hours. Can’t remember if there is a return policy; if so, I’d make a return as I’ve used them for about 45 minutes.

    • Jacob Paulsen

John, thank you for exchanging some emails with me. I’m glad we are on the way to getting you a return/refund. The idea that these high-quality electronic ear muffs don’t seem any different than your passive/non-electronic muffs sounds improbable. I wonder if your pair were defective or there was some issue. Regardless, thank you for giving them a try.

  8. Larry L Lambeth (verified owner)

I purchased these to take on a 4 day training and on the 2nd day the on/off/volume dial froze and they would not work. I’ve spend over a week sending emails, texts and faxes trying to get someone to help me get them fixed or replaced and can’t get anyone to respond to me. So NO, I can not recommend these at all. I had to rent some to finish my shooting.

    • Jacob Paulsen

Larry, I’m sorry about your experience. The product is warrantied and we will replace them or take them back for a refund. I checked our logs. I personally receive every fax. We have no faxes from you. I checked emails. You emailed us on Wednesday and Friday of last week. Today is Monday. We try to respond to all inquiries within 2 business days. We are behind to be sure but suggesting we’ve blatantly ignored you for over a week is not true. Our texts are harder to review so I don’t know how/when you’ve texted us but we try to respond to them in the same manner as emails. You will hear from us today.

Be word for these…. AWESOME. Only had them for a week, but they definitely are a fantastic addition to the range bag. And the price is fabulous! I had another pair of Howard Leights by Honeywell in my Amazon list but when I saw the notice about these being available I said I would give them a shot (no pun intended) and they are great!

  10. Deke (verified owner)

I’ve never owned a pair of electronic hearing protection, but I’ve tried a pair of Walkers. The Roger 22s are just as good in regards to quality and noise canceling. I have one minor gripe. As a small-headed person, these don’t hang on quite as well as I would like. They slip if I run or jerk my head hard. They don’t fall off, but they change position enough that I have to readjust. If these came in a “small” version, I would hop on that.

Please note, I am a 5’ 10” grown man, just have a smaller, narrower head than average.

  11. Ron Bridgefarmer

I wore these Sunday all afternoon. They were very comfortable and I had no problem hearing everyone around me. The gunshots were barely distinguishable so that was a win win. I am very pleased with these electronic war protectors.

  12. Craig P (verified owner)

I bought these for a threefold purpose: 1) shooting was the number one reason, 2) I like woodworking so I wanted something to reduce the noise while I working, and 3) I do a lot of travel and I wanted something to dampen the noise and yet allow me to hear a movie or music. All three purposes are filled with these. Highly recommended.

  13. J. C. Wells (verified owner)

Just what I’ve been looking for, great price also.

  14. jamesdfabrizio

Really enjoy these. I have been using them for range time for 6 months now. Very comfortable with softgel covers

  15. J. Hill (verified owner)

Having been involved in hearing protection for over 30 years and having worn every type of muff, with and with out ear plugs, I find these the most comfortable and attenuating decibels better than any others on the market.

  16. John A Platevoet (verified owner)

Shipping was great, muffs are very well made just like add said. Iam very pleased

  17. Charley B (verified owner)

Good fit, low profile, easy to use control and comfortable at a very reasonable price.

  18. Mike Spray (verified owner)

As an instructor and FFL, I bought 2 sets to “check them out” and immediately kept one for myself! The second set went to a happy student and two of the next four sets I just bought are already spoken for! Great product, and I’ve owned Howard Leight standard ear pro along with the HL sport models.

  19. Ed (verified owner)

Seem to be well made. Work well with glasses. Comfortable and does it’s job on loud noise suppression. Shipping took a while and don’t know the reason. All in all a good product.

  20. Karen hulsey (verified owner)

I got these as a back up pair I had a store credit , I can say the hearing is great , but I’m spoiled to gel pads which these do not have , also my hearing is bad as I’m 70, I’m in a local ladies pistol league tht shoots 2X’s a mo ,
& also shoot the indoor GSSF matches at local range . I shoot a practice every week in between all that . One of the ears is crackling like it’s shorting out . Makes it even harder for me to hear what someone is saying ..
I have never even used these at the range but carry back & forth as backup .I wear them so I can hear the dang Tv ! Which is yrd because of the crackling ..

  21. Karen Hulsey (verified owner)

I’m adding to my previous review on the Roger 22 ear muff’s , I just did my previous review & Jacob has already contacted me & will replace them ! I really didn’t do the review for that intention, but wow ! There are still good guys out there , thank you so much Jacob !
