Description
A good patch does two jobs: it scrubs fouling out of the bore and it carries solvent or oil where you need it. Birchwood Casey’s 2-1/4″ square patches do both, and a 500-count bag lasts a long time.
The cotton has a cross-weave texture that grabs carbon and fouling instead of sliding over it, so you push fewer patches to get the bore clean. They’re lint-free, which means no stray fibers left in the barrel or the action. The material is absorbent enough to hold extra solvent on a dirty bore, or a light, even coat of oil on the last pass.
At 2-1/4″ square, they’re sized for 9mm, .38/.357, .40 and .45 caliber handguns on a jag or slotted tip. They come in a resealable bag to keep them clean between sessions.
