Description

The Mercantile takes its name from the Old West, when a pistol in the coat or trouser pocket was everyday carry in town. Bosque Leatherworks builds it by hand in Texas from full-grain American leather tanned in the USA, for a pocket holster that conceals your pistol, stays put in the pocket, and lets go cleanly on the draw.

Optional outrigger (+$5)

The adjustable outrigger acts as an extra hook to keep the holster in your pocket, and it keeps the holster from tipping over. It mounts on either side of the holster and can be set at 90° to the slide for stability in a large square pocket, or at about 45°. You won’t need it for round-bottom pockets, but it’s a must for square pockets like cargo pants and coats.

Choosing your model: Select your firearm from the list. The Mercantile is currently available for the Ruger LCR, S&W J-Frame (2″), HK CC9, and Glock 43, with more models coming.

Care

The rough-out leather is intentionally left undyed, since dye can rub off onto clothing over time. If the leather dries out, a light coat of leather conditioner is all it needs. Never soak it in oil: leather that gets too soft can collapse and make the holster unsafe. Always put your pistol in the holster before the holster goes in your pocket.
