Swampfox Kraken Gen 2 Revealed at SHOT Show 2026 | Bigger Window, Top Battery & Drop-Tested

We stopped by the Swampfox Optics booth at SHOT Show 2026 to get a first look at the second-generation Kraken pistol optic.

The Kraken Gen 2 brings several major upgrades over the original, including:
- Top-mounted battery compartment
- Emitters relocated to the top of the optic
- Larger optic window with a lower sight picture
- Improved co-witness compatibility with standard-height sights
- Proven durability demonstrated through real-world drop testing

The optic will ship in red, green, and new multi-reticle options and continues to use Swampfox’s proprietary mounting system, with MR and MOS plates included and an expanded plate lineup available for additional pistol compatibility.

There’s no official release date yet, but Swampfox is projecting availability later this year.
