Colorado Semi-Auto Ban PASSES Senate! Here’s What Happens Next

Breaking news from @CoreyLoosearrow, ConcealedCarry.com correspondent: Colorado’s semi-automatic gun ban has passed the Senate (19-15) and now heads to the House of Representatives, where it’s likely to pass. If it does, it will go to Governor Polis’ desk—and there are strong signs he will sign it into law.

🔴 What does this mean for gun owners?

Most existing firearms are exempt, but certain gas-operated pistols (like the Desert Eagle & AR and AK pistols) are targeted.

New training requirements: If you have a hunter safety card you will have to attend 4 hours of training to get a permit to purchase. If you don’t have a hunter safety card, you’ll need to complete 12 hours of training over two days.

Next steps: The bill may be modified before final approval, but unless strong opposition is mounted, it’s likely to become law.
