****! Can’t you (1) rehearse so you know what you’re going to say and stick to it, instead of wandering? (Gee, what brands do we carry?) and (2) find a place to shoot your videos where you don’t have crap piled on the floor?
You “ultra-casual” chats give a very unprofessional appearance, and make me wonder whether you are e ven capable of doing a video that is not 50% wasted time? If you want to waste your OWN time, that’s fine. But I resent it when you waste MY time, and it makes me far less likely to view any other videos.
I noticed it with that crappy First Aid video (wow! a whole hour if you don’t count the commercials!) but the same is true here — You have no idea what “production value” is. For example, just because the lights are on doesn’t mean the scene is lit for maximum effectiveness. The ceiling lights are illumination, but professionals use lighting. And as to the First Aid videos, you couldn’t find anywhere to do it but the warehouse? Yow! My garage is better organized than that!
Come on, guys! You want to represent yourselves as professionals, so why not upgrade your media production to a more professional level? If you really want to reach the next level as a company, it’s time you started projecting the image of a real company, not just a couple of guys who rent space in a mall office building.
Thanks for your feedback Gary. Please note I’ve edited out the first word of your comment as it doesn’t meet our community guidelines. The weekly Shop Talk video is meant to be an informal chat. Your feedback generally, however, is noted and appreciated. We are a very small business and our resources are limited generally speaking and in the future, I hope our production value might increase to the level of your satisfaction. I will add lastly that in your comment about the first aid videos being almost nothing without commercials that you should expect that in the future we will continue to promote our products. Without advertising and promotion, we wouldn’t have the resources to produce any of the FREE content you are referencing. We understand if in the future you will no longer consume all that free content we put forward.
